03 Shillong (DSI-44)

Arrive Guwahati by air. On arrival your meet your driver at the airport and set off towards Shillong. En- route stop at Umaim Lake to witness the fascinating view of the lake. Later check into hotel for overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Cherrapunjee. Cherrapunji in Meghalaya is one of the wettest places on the planet and the only place in India to receive rain throughout the year.. Cherrapunji, also known as Sohra or Churra, means ‘the land of oranges’. The cliffs of Cherrapunjee also offer stunning views of the plains of Bangladesh. Visit to Seven Sister Falls, Nahkhalikai Falls, Mwasmai Cave, Koh Ram Hoh , eco – park. Drive back to Shillong en route visit Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak. Overnight stay at Shillong.

After breakfast drive from Shillong to Mawllynnong Village. Mawlynnong Village located in the East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya, also referred as ‘God’s own garden’ has won the acclaim of being the cleanest village in Asia in 2003. The village offers picturesque natural beauty, a trek to the living root bridge at a neighbouring village Riwai. The village also offers a sight of natural balancing rock, a strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock.

Evening return back to Shillong. Overnight at hotel.  

Visit Dawki, the Bangladesh Border (Tamabil Border from Bangladesh side). Main attraction is the Umgot river with crystal clear water. You can enjoy along boat ride there (boating charges to be paid directly). Evening return back to Shillong. Overnight at hotel. 

After breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to Guwahati airport to bard flight for your onward journey.
