At 1250m, Kalimpong is ideal for a pleasant, relaxed getaway. Its weather has made Kalimpong’s orchids and gladioles well renowned. Owing to its close distance to Sikkim & Bhutan, Kalimpong has a rich influence of Tibetan culture

It is also home to a number of monasteries including the Tharpa Choling Gompa & Thongsa Gompa. The clement weather of Kalimpong also makes it suitable for flower nurseries.

A day excursion to the mountain villages of Lava & Loleygaon are a popular getaway from Kalimpong. Covered with thick mist and floating clouds, Lava and Lolegaon is a place that will have you enthralled and mesmerised. The route from Kalimpong is enchanting which consist of winding mountain roads, deep valleys, towering mountains and trickling mountain streams.

Daywise Tour Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival and transfer to Kalimpong

Assistance at the airport/station in Bagdogra on arrival and drive to Kalimpong. At an altitude of 1250m, Kalimpong’s location is ideal for a pleasant, relaxed getaway. Its clement weather has made Kalimpong’s orchids and gladioles well renowned. Overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 2 - Kalimpong Full Day Sightseeing

After breakfast, today you will take a The afternoon includes sightseeing in the city visiting Flower Nurseries, Zang Dog Palri Fo-Brang Monastery, Durpin Dara, Tharpa Choling Monastery and Thongsa Gumpa & Dello Hill. Overnight stay in Kalimpong.

Day 3 - Excursion to Lava & Loleygaon

After breakfast head for full day excursion to Lava & Loleygaon. Lava, situated 30 km east of Kalimpong, is a small village with a Kagyupa gompa. Loleygaon, also known as Kaffer village is located on a mountain an hour away from Lava. One can also see the summit of Kangchenjunga from Kaffer and is best viewed at sunrise. Overnight at Kalimpong.

Day 4 - Departure

Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Bagdogra/NJP in time for flight/train to onward destination.

Cancellation Policy

Policy Regarding Cancellation / No Show / Early Departure

In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason/s we must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive letter in writing and cancellation charges would be as follows:

16 days to prior to arrival - 50% of the tour/service cost.
15 days to 01 days prior to arrival or no show - 100% of the tour/service cost.

Please note - Irrespective of above mentioned cancellations slabs - in case of cancellation of tour services after the booking is made with us - a minimum 10% service charges would be applicable.
