One can explore a number of attractions like the Tiger Hill, Mirik Lake & local heritage sights during their stay at Darjeeling.
Mirik Lake is a semi-artificial lake & a newly started hill station in West Bengal and situated 48 kms west of Darjeeling near Nepal border with a facility of boating at Mirik lake which is 1.25 kms long. Tiger Hill is popular for its golden sunrise view of the Kangchenjunga early morning.
Darjeeling is also a foodie’s paradise as it offers a number of famous eateries & bakeries like the Glenary’s, Keventer’s, etc

- Early morning to visit Tiger Hill to catch a beautiful sunrise against the Himalayan peaks like Kangchenjunga & Mount Everest. One can see the horizon changing colours just before sunrise and then the entire Himalayan range turn golden. It is truly a majestic sight. One can also catch a glimpse of the 15ft high Mythey Buddha and Ghoom Monastery on the way back from Tiger Hill.
- After breakfast, proceed for a city tour to visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday) which was started by Tenzing Norgay after he climbed Mt. Everest, Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed on Sunday), Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock, Tea Estate (from outside), Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda.
